WTCC Electrical Trades Program Receives Award Funding

Instructor Jim Buck recently opened an email with some exciting news. It was a congratulatory message from Harbor Freight Tools for Schools indicating that after successfully making it through the first round, WTCC's Electrical Trades program was one of 50 finalists receiving a $1,000 award to purchase equipment for the program.

After receiving the gift cards, the Electrical Trades class voted on what tools they thought they needed and could use for the program. After that, Mr. Buck went out to purchase the items at the areas Harbor Freight Store. Below is a picture of some of the Seniors standing around the tools that were purchased with the award money.

Harbor Freight Tools for Schools was established by Harbor Freight Tools Founder Eric Smidt to help advance skilled trades education in schools across America. The program believes that skilled trades teachers are heroes who deserve to be recognized and supported, thus leading to the Prize for Teaching Excellence Award. Congratulations to Mr. Buck for his hard work and dedication to Making Success Possible for his students!
