Welcome to the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center website. Our goal is to provide quality and comprehensive technical and career programs to high school students residing in Ontario, Seneca and Yates counties. To accomplish this, we work closely with our business partners and the New York State Education Department to assure that we are teaching the technical and academic skills that will lead our graduating students to successful employment or post-secondary study.

Technical and Career Education will provide young adults knowledge regarding career pathways, allow them to develop skills necessary to be successful in the workplace and/or in post-secondary education, and reinforce the soft skills all employers look for when hiring employees, such as working effectively on a team, communicating clearly, setting goals, problem solving, arriving on time and dressing appropriately.

Please explore our site to learn more about the specific programs and services we offer. We feel that technical and career education forms the backbone and supports the infrastructure of every community. After all, what would we do without individuals who choose to work in agriculture so our natural resources are preserved and crops and livestock are produced to feed us, or in health care to keep us well and living comfortably, or in advanced manufacturing creating parts and machines that are integral to our daily lives?

We need skilled workers in the construction trades building our homes, in transportation fields repairing our vehicles, trucks, and tractors, and in Information Technology so we have the computers, systems and apps that make our lives so convenient.

Is there a program here for you? Look, explore, and find out!
