MEC Specific


TABLES is a program that supports students, staff and families dealing with a variety of challenging mealtime behaviors. The team consists of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, behavior specialists, school psychologist, special education teacher, and assist principal. The focus of this team is to address student specific needs such as, picky eaters, food obsessions, and appropriate mealtime behaviors. This team helps meet/develop students needs through a variety of different approaches such as, data collection sheet, visual strategies, communication devices and adaptive equipment

Student Council

The student council is a voluntary student leadership role which helps share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and staff. They often also help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects, helping people in need and school reform. Students meet bi-weekly to promote volunteer and civic opportunities throughout the school day .Student Council is a great way foster positive relationships among all peers. Students develop essential social skills that they can take with them beyond graduation.
