Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is now accepting applications for the role of District Superintendent.

Applications must be submitted by June 20, 2026. Anticipated start date is Oct. 1, 2026.

This is a closed search with some level of Cabinet and Component District Superintendent input and involvement in the final stages.

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is currently searching for its next District Superintendent and is collecting thoughts, feedback and input from the community. 

We welcome you to join us to learn more and share your thoughts about what's next for Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES! 

Ms. Lily Talcott, District Superintendent and CEO of Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES, is the Search Consultant for the Wayne-Finger Lakes District Superintendent position and will be leading the following sessions:

  • In-person: in the Gala Room at The Conference Center in Newark (use Vienna Street Entrance)

    • Tuesday, June 9, 2026; 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

    • Tuesday, June 9, 2026; 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

       

  • Virtual: 

Students in grades 6-12 who attend a W-FL BOCES Program, their families, W-FL BOCES staff and members of our Component School Districts are welcome to attend.

About the 2026 W-FL BOCES District Superintendent Search:

The Commissioner of Education, Dr. Betty Rosa, has appointed Ms. Lily Talcott, District Superintendent of Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES, to serve as the Search Consultant for the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES District Superintendent search.

The Board of Education held its initial meeting with Ms. Talcott on May 11, 2026.

In consultation with Ms. Talcott, the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Board of Education will decide which type of search to conduct (confidential, open, hybrid, etc.), and what characteristics the Board as a whole is looking for in the next District Superintendent.

Through this appointment, Ms. Talcott and TST BOCES will support a thorough with the goal of appointing a new District Superintendent ahead of the anticipated start date of October 1, 2026.
