On March 5, 2019, students from the Wayne Technical and Career Center (WTCC) in Williamson participated in the SkillsUSA Regional Competition held at Alfred State College. Winners included:

1st Place: Job Demonstration A, Rebekka Abrams, Palmyra-Macedon             

2nd Place: Auto Body (Collision Repair)-James Flannery, Wayne; Precision Heavy Equipment Operations-Eddy Brennessel, Williamson                   

3rd Place: Criminal Justice-Justin Decker, Palmyra-Macedon; Nail Care Technician and Model-Alyson Pero, Newark and Porschia Wilson, North Rose-Wolcott; Technical Drafting-Johnathan Jones, Wayne

This year’s NYS SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Championships will be held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, April 24-26th. 

SkillsUSA is a national organization serving over 300,000 students and instructors annually. SkillsUSA is organized into 13,000 school chapters in 54 state (NY State SkillsUSA) and territorial associations. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. SkillsUSA programs include local, state and national competitions in which students demonstrate occupational and leadership skills.
